Find out why Parma has been elected "City of Gastronomy" by UNESCO with an itinerary through its most loved products: Parmigiano-Reggiano, Parma Ham and Wine.
The route starts from the Museum of Parmigiano-Reggiano, placed inside a XIX century cheese factory built in Soragna by the Princes Meli Lupi, where you'll be able to taste this precious product.
We'll then move towards the hills where the typical wind Marino blows and helps the maturation of the Ham to visit The Museum of Parma Ham in Langhirano. Here we'll learn about the art of suine butchery and breeding.
After a lunch on typical products, we'll head towards an ancient fortress, Rocca Sanvitale in Sala Baganza, house of the Wine Museum. Here the history of wine is presented through images, objects and archaeological finds and the descent into the renaissance icebox will transform into an immersive experience with 360° projections.
The entrances to the Museums require a 12€ fee per person.
Kids under 6 enter for free.
Optional tasting at Ristorante al Museo in Langhirano.
