WATERPRINTS

Under the city of Parma flows a network of canals unknown to many. Originally in the open air, the canals were used to maintain hygiene in the city and to provide running water for mills and other manufactories such as leather processing.

Alleys, lanes and squares that carry the memory of water in their names are the only remaining evidences of the presence of the canals.

We'll "surf" the main canals over their ancient route looking for the traces of the water that flowed in the heart of the city.
