GUARDASONE AND THE ROUTE OF PETRARCH

History and nature, ancient castles and outstanding blooming orchids are just some of the features that make the territory of Guardasone so rich. Dominated by a tower and a castle, military bulwark of extreme importance during the Middle Ages which hosted Petrarch.

We'll walk through a ridge overlooking the Val d'Enza and the castles of Canossa and Rossena, discovering its incredible biodiversity that allows different vegetations to grow and enrich the path with amazing spring blooms.

The route starts in Traversetolo and ends in Castione Baratti where you can have lunch with local products before the return.
